How acupuncture works for quit smoking?

Smoking causes many kinds of cancer, heart disease and respiratory illnesses which are fatal for many sufferers. It is also a social stigma as the general public nowadays despise smokers who are seen as contaminating the environment. Many smokers want to kick the habit but quitting can be really tough as it is both a physical addition and a psychological habit. Once you stop smoking, you may experience common nicotine withdrawal symptoms including irritability, anxiety, depression, restlessness, difficulty concentrating, increased appetite, headache, fatigue and insomnia.

During withdrawal, the human body is in a state of disharmony and needs time to return to homeostasis. Acupuncture can help promote balance in your body during this turbulent process and ease the symptoms of withdrawal stemming from the disharmony caused by addiction. It is believed to work by triggering the release of endorphins (natural pain relievers) that allow the body to relax.  Selected meridians and acupoints will be customized for different individuals according to their body constitutions. Auricular acupuncture or ear-seeds therapy will also be applied to enhance the effects.  Many also find acupuncture extremely helpful in preventing relapses.
